Miatex is a Moroccan SME founded in 1991 and based in Casablanca. It specializes in the manufacture of fine knit fabrics for the ready-to-wear sector. Products include a wide variety of fibres such as cotton, cotton/Modal®, cotton/linen, bamboo, viscose and viscose/wool, Modal®, MicroModal®, Tencel, acrylic, polyamide, and polyester. The fabric range includes jerseys, flannels, polar fleeces, bouclettes, interlocks, ribbed fabrics, piqués, jacquards, and prints.

The family business has 35 employees and reports sales of €1.35 million. It uses more than 20 circular knitting machines in different gauges (18 to 28), three latest-generation flat-knitting machines (14 gauge), and finishing equipment for napping, calendering, etc. It has earned ISO 9001 – V20015 certifications.

Output stands at more than 40,000 kg of knits a month, production capacity at 5000 kg a day, and storage capacity between 150,000 and 200,000 kg. The company offers stock service. Miatex stands out with its rigorous standards for service, delivery, and manufacturing. Quality checks are made throughout the production process and all knits undergo systematic quality control.

Miatex exports between 60 and 80 percent of its output to Europe. Its customers include Lingerie Le Chat, Camaïeu, ArmorLux, Otago (rugby-inspired wear), Corona and Emile LAFAURIE.
